WASHINGTON — Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee, released the following statement on President Trump’s police reform executive order:

“The Executive Order signed today by President Trump is more evidence that this Administration is focused on solving problems, not sowing division. Some seek to use this moment for partisan attacks and to advance a radical agenda that would ‘defund the police’ and unleash anarchy in our cities. The President knows that law enforcement officers are an invaluable pillar of civil society and deserve our respect and gratitude. This Order is a tremendous step forward in improving the system and beginning a new era in relationship between communities and the police officers that keep them safe.”
